Preceptor.Network was created to make clinical preceptor matching simpler, fairer, and more affordable for advanced nursing students, preceptors, and schools.
Finding a preceptor should not require joining dozens of Facebook groups, posting the same message over and over, cold-calling clinics, emailing strangers, or paying thousands of dollars to placement services.
Students are already sacrificing enough.
They are giving up time, income, sleep, family moments, and personal energy to earn their advanced nursing degree. They are already paying tuition, fees, books, exams, travel costs, and everything else that comes with becoming a nurse practitioner, CRNA, CNM, CNS, or other advanced practice nurse.
They should not also have to pay an arm and a leg just to get the clinical experience required to complete their program.
Why We Exist
The preceptor search process is broken.
Students need clinical hours, but often do not know where to look. Preceptors may be willing to help, but they receive scattered, incomplete, or mismatched requests. Schools want students to succeed, but many do not have a simple way to help students find qualified preceptors who match their actual program requirements.
The result is wasted time, missed opportunities, unnecessary stress, and a growing industry of expensive placement services built around a problem that should be solved more fairly.

Our goal is to become the central place where students and preceptors can find the right match and get precepting done without the chaos.
What We Do
Preceptor.Network helps connect advanced nursing students with preceptors who fit their clinical needs.
Students can search by specialty, population focus, location, setting, schedule, availability, and program requirements.
Preceptors can create a free profile, define what types of students they are open to accepting, and receive requests that better match their practice and availability.
Schools can use structured program requirements to help students search more intelligently and reduce mismatched requests.
The goal is simple: fewer dead ends, fewer random messages, fewer cold calls, and better matches.

Built Around Fairness
Preceptor.Network is not trying to become another expensive placement service.
We believe the nursing industry needs more people helping students move forward, not more companies finding ways to profit from their desperation.
Our student match fee is currently designed to be simple and affordable: $10 per confirmed match request.
That fee helps cover the infrastructure, administrative, verification, support, and management costs required to keep the network useful and reliable.
Our hope is that as the network grows, we can make the service even more affordable over time.

Who We Are
Preceptor.Network started at home.
My wife is an MSN, RN working toward her post-grad FNP. As she moved through the process, I kept hearing the same stories over and over. Students struggling to find preceptors. Nurses receiving random requests with incomplete details. Schools doing their best, but often without a simple way to connect students with the right clinical opportunities.
The more I listened, the more obvious it became: the preceptor search problem is not just frustrating. It is wasteful, stressful, and in some cases, it can put a student's progress at risk.
So I built something to help fix it.
I'm Richard, a principal-level solutions architect who has worked with a large number of Fortune 500 companies. My background is in building systems that remove friction, reduce wasted effort, and make complicated processes easier to manage.
I also have a very low tolerance for greed.
Preceptor.Network was created to be useful, sustainable, and fair. Students should not be exploited. Preceptors should be respected. Schools should have better tools. The nursing profession deserves a better way to support the next generation.

Preceptor.Network exists because students need a better path, preceptors deserve better tools, and nursing education deserves a system built around fairness instead of exploitation.
